|Christopher M. Carney, President and Chief Executive Officer|
Mr. Carney has more than forty years experience in the healthcare industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and outstanding leadership experience in medical-surgical, psychiatric and chemical dependency healthcare administration. Mr. Carney has been a part of the Diamond family for nearly ten years most recently in a Consultant role.
Prior to Diamond Mr. Carney was the Chief Executive Officer at Virginia Eye Institute. He was also Vice President and Partner with Witt/Kieffer of Oak Brook, Illinois and from 1996-2005, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bon Secours Health System.
Mr. Carney holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration and undergraduate degrees in business administration and psychology from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Richard L. Shrum, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Shrum has thirty-five years experience in psychiatric and medical/surgical healthcare management. He has previously worked with National Healthcare, Inc. as a group director and with Charter Medical Corporation. His position with Diamond Healthcare involves him in the supervision of unit operations for Diamond field offices.
Mr. Shrum holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration both from Xavier University and a Bachelor in Business Management from St. Francis College.
William A. Carpenter, Executive Vice President, Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Carpenter has twenty-five years of healthcare financial management experience in both investor owned and not-for-profit healthcare systems, including thirteen years with Sentara Obici Health System as Senior Vice President-Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Carpenter is a Certified Public Accountant, received his Masters in Business Administration in Accounting from Tulane Graduate School of Business, and holds a Bachelors degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University.
Richard V. Woodard, Executive Vice President OperationsMr. Woodard has forty years of healthcare management experience. He has served as CEO of three psychiatric hospitals as well as group administrator for Virginia Charter Medical Corporation. He also was CEO of Charter Westbrook Hospital, a 198-bed psychiatric hospital in Richmond, Virginia for six years. Mr. Woodard’s expertise is in the development and management of psychiatric and substance abuse programs and professional practices in Behavioral Health.
Mr. Woodard received his Masters in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and Bachelors in Economics from Guilford College. He has held offices in The National Association of Private Psychiatric Hospitals and the Hospital Associations of Virginia and North Carolina. Mr. Woodard served as chairman of The Public Relations Committee for the NAPPH, chairman of the VHA Mental Health Council and served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Hospital Association.
Sharon M. Dajon, Senior Vice President and Corporate Compliance Officer
Ms. Dajon brings to Diamond more than thirty years of experience in healthcare financial management in both hospital and physician sectors. Her position with Diamond Healthcare consists of providing education and training to Diamond's hospitals requiring compliance, financial and operational support.
Ms. Dajon holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University. She is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) with the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and is a Certified Clinic Account Manager (CCAM) with the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).
Richard Feldman, Senior Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Feldman has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare management, with skills in business development, strategic planning, operations and finance. Prior to Diamond, Richard worked as Director of Business Development for The CawleyJohnson Group, a hospital CEO for Ardent Health Services, Vice President for Business Development for First Hospital Corporation, and Regional Director of Operations for Mental Health Management. He has won national awards in the area of healthcare advertising.
Mr. Feldman holds a Master in Business Administration degree from The University of Pittsburgh, a Master in Social Work degree from Temple University, and Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University. He has served as an Adjunct Instructor in the College of Allied Health Sciences at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Stephen J. Enright, MBA., Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Enright is an experienced human resources executive with a solid reputation as a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities. At his role with Steward Health Care in Massachusetts, Enright was responsible for all Human Resources Hospital Operations, including 8 hospitals and 4 other entities, Labor and Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation, Benefits, Acquisitions and Interpreter Services.
Enright is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Business, with an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and recently earned the Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from the Cornell ILR school. He holds an SPHR certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and is an Eagle Scout.
Gary Williams, Senior Vice President
Mr. Williams has more than thirty years of clinical and management experience in behavioral health. He has a clinical services background in chemical dependency including administrative leadership in various behavioral health settings in private not-for-profit hospitals. Mr. Williams also has extensive experience in developing and managing hospital-based inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs.
Mr. Williams received his degree from Christopher Newport College in Newport News, Virginia.
Terry J. Rauschuber, Senior Vice President
Ms. Rauschuber has more than twenty-five years experience in the healthcare field and specializes in the development and operations of Geropsychiatric inpatient programs and outpatient services. She has developed and assisted with the start-up of a private practice which specializes in geriatric services and also worked as a military psychiatric reviewer for TRICARE insurance. Ms. Rauschuber received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has taught graduate level advanced clinical skills at the University of Texas School of Social Work. Ms. Rauschuber is active in the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), has served on the Texas state board, and chaired the State Committee on Aging. She is a national speaker on PHP, presents workshops on aging issues, and as a Program Director, was honored with an award for contract retention and excellent hospital relations.
Paul Altovilla – Senior Vice President, Operations
Mr. Altovilla has more than fifteen years experience in the behavioral healthcare field. He is responsible for the regional corporate oversight of behavioral health management contracts and provides direction in the development, implementation and operation of comprehensive, high quality, financially viable inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
Mr. Altovilla received his Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelors in Accounting from Fairmont State College. He is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) with Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
