The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place

Diamond owns the nationally recognized Farley Center at Williamsburg Place. The Farley Center is an abstinence based program, providing a complete continuum of services beginning with medically monitored detoxification, if necessary, all the way to providing complete and comprehensive after care planning. During their journey to recovery,The Farley Center patients receive intensive psychotherapy, individually and in a group setting, experiential therapeutic interventions, education and sober life skill building.

The staff of The Farley Center believes in the 12 Step Program of Recovery. All patients have the opportunity to experience recovery by learning and applying the Spiritual Principals of the 12 Steps of Recovery to their everyday life. Patients experience Equine Therapy, Family Sculpting, Mandala Therapy, and Music Therapy, Guided Imaging for Pain and Loss, and Yoga. Patients work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of highly qualified professionals to design a plan of treatment that is uniquely crafted for his or her treatment needs. We help patients identify those issues that can often sabotage addiction recovery such as; early childhood trauma, co-occurring process addictions, marital and/or family conflicts.

The focus at the Farley Center is to treat the addiction to intoxicants as a primary illness while recognizing and treating those issues in the patient’s life that are causing pain and avoidance. This approach has enabled our graduates to assume healthy and functional lives in their chosen fields.

The Farley Center at Williamsburg Place has a rich history in treating the healthcare professional, as well as other professionals who have sophisticated defense mechanisms that render them incapable of coping without the use of alcohol or other drugs. Treating these individuals in a traditional setting is often ineffective due to their sense of being different or special. In order to combat the sense of elitism, we strive to blend the professional patient into a treatment setting that minimizes the sense of uniqueness while recognizing the patient’s concerns regarding their professional status, which may include:

  • Licensure Issues
  • Career Management
  • Professional Re-entry Problems
