Congratulations to Ann Belvin, VP Talent Engagement, on her appointment as the President of the Virginia Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (VaSHHRA). Ann has served on the Board for the past six years with the past two as President Elect.
She addressed the group with a written statement saying, “I am excited to be your new VaSHHRA President! I have been a member of VaSHHRA for over 20 years and have had the privilege of serving on the VaSHHRA Board for the past six years. Never in my entire HR career have I experienced the type of year that 2020 turned out to be nor have I ever been as proud to serve you as your new incoming VaSHHRA President.”
Ann also stated that VaSHHRA’s mission is to, “lead, develop and support its members as they strive to attain their institutions’ goals through the delivery of outstanding human resource management.” She encouraged all to check out their webpage to discover the many ways that VaSHHRA can be of service and the numerous benefits (educational programs, CEU’s, networking, fostering relationships, obtaining answers to challenging HR questions, and many others) that are provided to members.
Ann has been employed with Diamond Healthcare for over 25 years. In her role as Vice President of Talent Engagement her focus is on the recruitment and retention of our most valued assets--our employees. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Administration and a SHRM-SCP certification. Ann has been married to her spouse, Stuart, for 33 years and has three adult children. Hannah, 26, is a flight attendant for Jet Blue, Charlie, 24, is a car salesman for Mechanicsville Toyota and Will, 20, is in trade school for HVAC and works as a heating and air apprentice.
