Since 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in May by reaching millions of people through the media, local events, and screenings. Diamond’s employees play a large role in creating awareness of mental health needs and resources in their local communities. This year we are promoting Mental Health America’s “Risky Business” series. These flyers include risk factors such as prescription drug misuse, Internet addiction, and excessive spending.
Diamond Healthcare Corporation is pleased to announce Joey Trapani has joined the Operations team as Vice President. An experienced healthcare executive, Joey brings to Diamond tremendous skills in operational management, process improvement, regulatory affairs, business development and quality improvement outcomes. Having served most recently as CEO of Poplar Springs, a psychiatric hospital in Petersburg, VA, Joey has proven experience in all aspects of management.
At Diamond, he will be responsible for the oversight of contracts, including new psychiatric hospital start-ups.
Susan Garrison-Frazier, Director, Compliance joins Diamond from the University of Virginia Health System with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her experience in compliance, privacy and identification and classification of federal risks has spanned over multiple settings including physician practices, large health systems with multiple service lines and home health.
Diamond is pleased to welcome Leslie Deane as Director of Market Strategies to our team. A seasoned psychiatric and acute care hospital administrator and strategist, Leslie has experience in both for-profit and not-for-profit, inpatient and outpatient settings, from rural critical access to large urban markets.
She will help develop intake and assessment services at new psychiatric hospitals and assist in recruiting and selecting marketing staff for our contracted facilities.

On February 1, 2017 Diamond’s Reach Employee Assistance Program will have a new parent company.
